Lawyer
Monika joined Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers as a Junior Lawyer in September 2021 after having completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Relations from La Trobe University in 2019. Prior to joining CFIL, Monika worked as a paralegal with WLW Migration Lawyers for two years.
Since joining CFIL, Monika has assisted with a range of matters, including skilled, partner, employer sponsored and humanitarian visa applications as well as matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Monika also has experience with visa cancellations and refusals, requests for Ministerial Intervention and matters before the Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court and Immigration Assessment Authority.
Monika’s interest in migration law stems from her time spent volunteering at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and a passion for social justice. She is aware of the barriers that exist for accessing legal advice and aims to handle all matters with compassion and sensitivity.
