Nina first joined CFIL in 2011 as a paralegal while completing her tertiary studies. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (International Relations), she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a lawyer in April 2017. Nina also holds a provisional license as a New Zealand Immigration Advisor with the New Zealand Immigration Advisors Authority.
Nina has had a long-standing interest in the area of Immigration Law and enjoys working on complex matters including Character Cancellations, Migration Fraud and PIC 4020 issues as well as appearing for clients in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. She has extensive experience in lodging all types of visa and citizenship applications, including (but not limited to) medical treatment, carer and parent visas. Nina regularly advises clients on Judicial Review options in the Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court, as well as high profile High Court applications and Ministerial Intervention requests.
Nina contributes to the firm’s pro-bono caseload and has instructed Senior Counsel in relation to Urgent Medical Transfers from Nauru applications.
As of November 2022, she is also an LIV Accredited Immigration Law Specialist and was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Under 30 Young Lawyers Awards in 2021.
