Carina-fordCarina Ford (B. Ec, LLB) established her own practice in 2004, having previously worked as an Associate at Gadens Lawyers, Melbourne. She is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), is currently the Chairperson of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Immigration Law Committee and is a member of the LIV Immigration Specialisation Law Committee.

She has been a registered migration agent since 1998 (MARN 9802862). She is a practicing lawyer and an Accredited Immigration Law Specialist. She is currently the Chairperson of the Administrative Law and Human Rights Executive Committee of the LIV, and was the Chairperson of the Migration Committee of the LIV in 2009 and 2010. She is also a Law Institute of Victoria Administrative Law Specialisation Committee member.

                                     Carina is also a registered New Zealand Migration Adviser.


Rick Gunn (LRick GunnLB) joined CFIL in 2005 having previously worked as a commercial litigation lawyer at Middletons Lawyers, Melbourne. He is a member of the MIA, and has been a registered migration agent since 2005 (MARN 0530987). He is a practicing lawyer, and also an LIV Accredited Immigration Law Specialist. Rick has extensive experience with all areas of migration law, including skilled migration, business migration (in particular 457, ENS and RSMS applications), complex appeals and family migration. He is a frequent presenter of migration law Continuing Professional Development for other agents. He is a member of the MIA, LIV and ILAA.




















Madeline Keating

Madeline Keating (BA LLB) completed her legal traineeship with Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers after joining the firm in 2007. Madeline has experience across all areas of skilled and business migration, and in particular has worked extensively in the areas of skilled migration, family migration, student visa applications and student visa cancellations. Madeline also advises clients and prepares submissions in relation to appeals to the Migration Review Tribunal across all visa subclasses, and advises on more complex visa issues. Madeline is registered migration agent (MARN: 1065912) as well as being a practising lawyer, and is also a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.


Madeline Keating

Dushan Nikolic (BA LLB). Before joining Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers Dushan worked in a number of roles across both the Commonwealth and State public sectors, including as a Policy and Case Officer at the Migration Review Tribunal and Refugee Review Tribunal. Dushan advises across all areas visa subclasses, and has a particular interest in skilled migration, protection visas and merits review applications.  Dushan is a registered migration agent (MARN: 1278842) as well as being a practising lawyer.


Madeline Keating


Oznur Akbas (BLS, LLB, Grad Dip LP) has worked as a volunteer at the Broadmeadows Legal Service as paralegal from August 2009 to June 2012. She has worked at CFIL as a paralegal since October 2010, and has been a member of our legal staff since 2012. She specialises in skilled and family applications. Oznur is a registered migration agent (MARN: 1278955) and practising lawyer.



Madeline Keating

Bryan Monck (Lawyer) (BA LLB). After completing his law degree in 2009, Bryan worked for Consumer Affairs Victoria providing advice to the community. In 2011 Bryan returned to university, writing a thesis as part of an honours degree in International Relations. Bryan has completed the Supervised Workplace Traineeship with Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers and is eligible to practice as a lawyer. During his time at Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers Bryan has developed a keen interest in employer-sponsored and humanitarian visas.
